The General Directorate of the Technical and Vocational Education Department had a Meeting with UNICEF Officials in Afghanistan

The general directorate of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority, Mowlawi Ghulam Haidar Shahamat, met with UNICEF officials in Afghanistan, Jan Maddad and Ms. Fozia, at his office.

Mr. Shahamat explained the recent achievements of the authority and stated that the activation of Braille printing for the blind, the construction of a motor car at the Innovation Center of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority, and the reactivation of the department's printing press are among the major accomplishments of the past two years.

Furthermore, Mowlawi Shahamat reminded them of the provision of necessary facilities and resources for special education and mentioned that the special education sector of this Authority needs more collaboration.

The general directorate of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority added, "The nature of the work of UNICEF and this authority is similar, and the work should be coordinated."

During this meeting, Ms. Fozia expressed her satisfaction with the activities and achievements of the authority, She pledged to share their requests and proposals with the UNICEF leadership.

Also, Mr. Jan Maddad said in this meeting, "We are ready to collaborate with this authority following our principles and laws".
