On the occasion of International White Cane Day, the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority honored and celebrated it

This ceremony was attended by Mowlavi Gholam Heydar Shahamat, the general directorate of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority, as well as the students and staff of the Institute for the Blind.
Officials from the Welfare and Services Institute for the Blind and the Roshandelan Social Foundation were also present at this event.
At the beginning of the program, Noor Mohammad Feizi, the Head of Roshandelan/Blind Technical Institute, spoke and expressed gratitude for the support of the leadership of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority for this institute.
Other speakers also emphasized the need for further support for the visually impaired.
The general directorate of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority, in his speech at this ceremony, said that visually impaired individuals have a special place for God and the great prophet of Islam.
He also mentioned that currently one of the senior and important positions in the government is held by a visually impaired person, and the government pays special attention to this group as well.
Furthermore, Mr. Shahamat added that through signing an agreement of understanding with ministries such as Hajj and Endowments, Telecommunications... and police forces, efforts are being made to create a conducive working environment for the blind.
Mowlavi Gholam Heydar Shahamat also spoke about the activation of Braille printing and stated that the leadership of the Technical and Vocational Education Department is striving to provide greater facilities for blind vocational schools.
At the end of this ceremony, certificates of appreciation were also presented to the teachers and staff of the Institute for the Blind.
