Introduction to the Mechanical Institute
The Mechanical Institute is located in the second district of Kabul and was established in 1316 H.S., as a technical and vocational institution. It provides technical and vocational education in the fields of mechanics for male and female students, from grades 10 to 14 (high school and institute).

The institute has 56 classrooms, with electricity and water.

The Mechanical Institute has a total of 145 employees, including 110 teachers, 12 administrative staff, and 23 service staff.
Fields of study:
The institute offers eight fields of study (carpentry, metalworking, electricity, motor repair, plumbing and heating, machinery, general courses, and electronics), with approximately 1,200 students enrolled in vocational training.
Computer labs:
The Mechanical Institute has a separate computer lab in each department.
Practical workshops:
The institute has 13 fully equipped workshops for practical electrical engineering, electronics, motor repair, machinery, welding, blacksmithing, carpentry, casting, plumbing, and heating classes.
General information on teachers by gender:
There is a total of 80 teachers at the institute, including 64 male and 16 female teachers.
Meal Allowance:
The Mechanical Institute currently has 1,200 students enrolled in its day program, six of them receive grants, and one of them receives a scholarship.
The Technical and Vocational Education Department is committed to providing job opportunities through vocational education. This department is also working towards the development of human resources and the growth of the country's economy.
