Mowlawi Ghulam Saeed Ehsas the deputy directorate of the TVET-A met with the general directorate of Agha Khan Foundation, Afghanistan branch
Molavi Gholam Saeed Ehsas, deputy of Technical and Vocational Education and Training affairs, met with Dr. Najmuddin Najm, General Director of the Agha Khan Foundation in Afghanistan, and his entourage. At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Ehsas talked about the plans and activities of TVET-A.
He said that the TVET-A works on projects that are essential for the people alongside vocational training. Mr. Ehsas referred to the projects of manufacturing a hay baler and an electric motorcycle that is being carried out at the innovation center of the TVET-A.
Mr. Najmuddin Najm, the General Director of the Agha Khan Foundation in Afghanistan, also explained the activities of the Foundation in three areas, including economic development, social development, and reconstruction of cultural heritage.
He added that for better collaboration, common working areas should be identified.
Mr. Ehsas said that with 40 years of war in the country, all sectors need reconstruction and work. He added that some aid from institutions is political, but Agha Khan Foundation helps Afghanistan's people without political issues based on its commitment.
The general directorate of the Agha Khan Foundation also stated that its goal is to assist the people of Afghanistan and has expanded its aid in the past two years.
In this regard, Mohammad Hashem Khushnood, responsible for the Comprehensive Economic Section of the Agha Khan Foundation, explained that the foundation is currently focusing on agriculture, employment, and support for small businesses in rural areas.
Mr. Ehsas emphasized that research should be done on people's needs and efforts should be made to address them. In this session, Mowlawi Nik Mohammad Nikmal, Head of Planning and Strategic Coordination of TVET-A, talked about building projects implemented by Agha Khan Foundation. He said some building projects, particularly in Baghlan and Badakhshan, have not been fully completed, and some work remains.
Mr. Nikmal asked Agha Khan Foundation to complete the remaining work on these projects.
The representative of the Agha Khan Foundation promised to cooperate on this.
Finally, it was agreed that working teams would identify common working areas and fields of cooperation.
