Leadership of Technical, Vocational Education and Training Authority held an Online meeting with officials from the Ministry of Construction and Russian experts
The meeting began with remarks from Anastasia Mikhailova, Head of the International Relations Department of the Ministry of Construction in Russia, and discussed areas of cooperation between Russian educational institutions in the construction sector and the Technical and Vocational Education Department.
Mr. Mowlawi Ghulam Haider Shahamat, General Directorate of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority also spoke about the Authority and identified areas where it requires cooperation.
Mr. Shahamat mentioned past collaborations with Russia, including the construction of the Kabul Institute of Technology, which he said is a symbol of cooperation between Russia and Afghanistan.
He also requested Russian collaboration in enhancing the capacity of instructors in the construction fields and providing scholarships for students and instructors at educational centers under the department.
In addition, he emphasized the need for officials from Afghanistan's technical and vocational sectors to visit Russia for exchange of experiences.
During the meeting, Russian experts, including Alexander Shalif, Head of the Training Center at the Ministry of Construction in Russia, Eugenia Myronova, Head of the Heritage Preservation Center, Nikolai Zabolin, Head of the Institute of Building Management and Technology, and Vira Galishnikova, Deputy Dean of the Civil Engineering Faculty in Moscow, presented their talks and presentations.
The Deputy of the Moscow Civil Engineering University stated that the academic levels offered at the university include Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate degrees. He also added that the Moscow Civil Engineering University can provide training courses for instructors and students in various fields.
Recently, Russian officials and experts promised to cooperate with the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authorityin enhancing capacity, repairing buildings of technical and vocational education centers, and providing scholarships in response to the department's request.
Anastasia Mikhailova, Head of the International Relations Department of the Ministry of Construction in Russia, emphasized the need for coordination to achieve cooperation.
